They are awaiting results from an autopsy to help determine how the resident, William Liberi, died.

The body found at Barrington Townhomes on Friday has been identified by police as 23-year-old William Liberi.

Police said their investigation into what caused Liberi's death is continuing. An autopsy is being performed by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office.

Liberi lived in No. 39 at the complex at 348 Jefferson Ave. Police were sent to the townhome just after 12:30 p.m. after a manager contacted them about the discovery.

Detective Scott Kadien said there were no obvious indications of what might have caused Liberi's death. Police have not yet determined when Liberi died.

Kadien cautioned that his department has not categorized the death as suspicious. He said the probe into the death is standard procedure because of Liberi's age.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Canandaigua police at (585) 394-5044.
