Ryan and Samantha Esse join the Redwood Falls business community with State Farm agency
A new business has opened in Redwood Falls—Ryan Esse State Farm. Agent Ryan Esse and his wife Samantha recently moved to Redwood Falls and are eager to meet people, introduce their agency and staff and get involved in the community.
Last week the Gazette interviewed Ryan and Samantha, through the magic of email, about their new endeavor in Redwood Falls.
• Tell us about your State Farm agency and how it started.
Ryan acquired this opportunity as a well known agent, Thor Kaardal, retired about a year ago. Although filling his shoes will be tough, Ryan is honored to have been selected as Redwood Falls' new agent. Ryan and his team will be keeping their customers best interest as their primary goals. Ryan will utilize his skills and experience from his financial services background and incorporate them into his agency to further help customers achieve their dreams. Our mission is to help customers manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams.
•When did you start business in Redwood Falls?
The doors of the office opened Oct. 1 and we couldn’t be more excited. We currently have two terrific employees—Stacey Draegar and Richard O’Connor. You may notice Stacey as a familiar face around town. She has years of insurance knowledge and we are thrilled to have her in the office. Richard is from Olivia and actually used to be a Social Studies teacher here in Redwood Falls. Richard is a go-getter and eager to learn all about the insurance world. We couldn’t be happier with our employees and we know our clients are in great hands with them.
We purchased the former dental building at 105 East Bridge Street on Sept. 10. When we moved in, the office area really didn’t need much but we did freshen up the paint and make a few changes. We love visitors, so please feel free to stop in, grab a coffee/water/pop and a sweet treat. We would love to get to know our community and clients better. If you are up for talking, we are up for listening!
•Tell us a little personal information. You are new to town, so we need a little introduction.
We moved from Spicer where we called home for the last seven years. We just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and have a dog named Kaito—you may see us walking around town since he loves going on walks. Ryan grew up in Willmar, graduated from high school there and went to college at Moorhead and St, Cloud State. He received his BA in Mathematics with an emphasis in actuarial science. For the past few years Ryan has been a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. Samantha grew up in New Jersey and after college decided to take a leap of fate and move to Minnesota. For the last five years she has been a full-time Real Estate agent with Realty Group. SamanthaI will still be helping clients with their Real Estate needs and also filling in at the State Farm office to help out. We both enjoy camping, biking, fishing, golfing and basically anything outdoors. Ramsey Falls is just a short walk for us so you may see us exploring the trails a lot. Growing up Ryan was involved in drag racing so you may catch him at a race or two.
Living in Redwood Falls has been a change for us but we are so excited to be here. Redwood Falls has so many great amenities and the people we have met so far have been amazing – caring, helpful, and just overall welcoming. We are thrilled to be a part of this amazing community and hope to be for years and years to come. We look forward to being actively involved and engaged in the local churches, organizations, schools and community events that Redwood Falls offers. This town is beautiful and we are so happy to call it home.
