The students studied the art of Brian Dettmer, a book sculptor. Students gave discarded books new life by sculpting with the pages. RVHS Junior Emily Huhnerkoch, an advanced art three student, created a sculpture inspired by her childhood willow tree. “I wanted to create a willow tree because it connected with my childhood.
