A big six-run sixth inning helped Redwood Valley rally to defeat visiting BOLD 7-4 May 10 in non-conference girls softball action.

It was the first win of the season for the Cards (1-16) who belted out a season-high 18 hits in the win.

Haley Garman was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, AJ Guggisberg was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI and Amy Martius was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

Harlee Ahrens went 3-for-4, Sydney Sommers was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Ashlyn Doering went 2-for-3 with a run scored, Breanna Beran was 1-for-3 and Kenzie Lydick went 1-for-2.

Guggisberg would pick up the win allowing four earned runs on eight hits, striking out six and walking just two.

The Cards dropped a twinbill with Pipestone Area May 14 by scores of 11-1 and 8-2. Ahrens had four hits and Sommers three for the Cards.
