Earlier in April, the Southwest Minnesota healthy communities survey was sent to 1,600 random households in each of the counties served by Southwest Health and Human Services (SWHHS). This survey is for adults over age 18.

This health survey is done every four to five years and compliments the Minnesota student survey done in schools. The information gathered is used to monitor and develop strategies to address community health needs and identify issues aimed at helping residents of SWHHS live longer, healthier lives.

Those who received a mailed survey are encouraged to complete and return it. All input is vital.

By completing the survey, participants will make a valuable contribution to improving the health of people living in Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood and Rock counties.
