Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) firearms safety training in Redwood Falls will be starting March 12, 2019.

Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays until March 28. Instruction will be from 6:30-9 p.m. Instructors will be DNR certified members of the Redwood Falls Sportsman Club.

The Redwood County VFW post is donating the use of its meeting room at 825 East Bridge Street in Redwood Falls for the classroom portion. The field test is scheduled for April 6 at the Redwood Falls Sportsman Club.

Registration forms are available at River Valley Arms and Ammo in Morton, Runnings in Redwood Falls and Makarrall Insurance Redwood Falls. Youth must be 11 years of age before class start date listed above in order to be eligible to take this class.

The course is also open to adults wishing to obtain a firearms safety certificate. Cost is $7.50 to be paid the first night of class. Parents or guardians are encourage to attend the first class.
