Jackson Co. Central tops Redwood Valley 133.925-133.75 in Big South dual

An edge on floor helped visiting Jackson County Central hold off Redwood Valley by the narrowest of margins 133.925-133.750 Thursday night in a Big South Conference dual.

The Huskies scored a 35.525 to the Cards 34.25, as Redwood Valley scored higher on both vault and bars.

It was a career night for Redwood Valley seventh-grader Avery Wilson who captured the All-Around with a career-best 34.925. She was first on floor (9.075) and second on vault (8.75), bars (8.275) and beam (8.825).

Emma Stevenson was second in the All-Around with a 34.15 total. She earned a first place finish on vault (9.275), was third on beam (8.5), sixth on floor (8.75) and ninth on bars (7.625).

Riley Franklin had a nice night, finishing fourth in the All-Around with a 33 total. She had a strong night winning on bars (8.65), was fifth on vault (8.6) and added an 8.5 on floor and a 7.25 on beam. Hailey Mohr was fifth in the All-Around with a 30.425, scoring a fifth-place finish on bars (8.0) and an 8.3 on vault. Mikayla Opatz scored a 7.7 on bars and a 7.2 on beam.

133.9The Cardinal JV fell 125.75-118.95 with a season high score. Celia Hartle was first on bars (7.75) and also had an 8.15 on vault and a 7.6 on floor, Carlath Berry and McKenna Flinn tied for third on vault with 8.45s.
