The 26th annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Redwood County will be holding its first meeting of 2019 this coming Monday (Jan. 21) at Thrivent on Bridge Street in Redwood Falls.

The meeting will start at 5:30 p.m.

All persons willing to help plan this year’s event or wanting to find out what Relay For Life is all about are encouraged to attend.

Of every dollar raised 72 cents goes to fight cancer through research, prevention, early detection or free patient services; 21 cents is used to raise mission-critical funds, honor survivors and remember loved ones lost and 7 cents is used for general costs and overhead.

This year’s Re-lay For Life event is Aug. 2 at the Gilfillan Estate.
