The ‘Christmas Voices’ of Renville County will be performing the annual Christmas Cantata Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at St. Aloysius Church in Olivia.

This year 60-plus singing voices from nearly every community in Renville County will be presenting “Christmas Presence.” Eight special songs plus the spoken word by two narrators pay tribute to the impact of Christ’s arrival into our lives.

Sponsored by the Olivia Kiwanis, this 45-minute concert is the 20th event directed by Deb Rath of Buffalo Lake. Cyndi Washburn of Hector is serving as the pianist.

The free-will offering donations go to Santa’s Closet and the Renville County Food Shelf.

Refreshments will be served in the Jubilee Center following the program.

Two additional performances will be held Dec. 9. The morning will have the cantata at First Lutheran Church in Hector at 9 a.m., and the afternoon event will be at Emden Reform Church in Renville at 2 p.m.

The public is invited to attend either or several of these opportunities to hear “Christmas Presence.”
