Why are you running for County Auditor-Treasurer?
I am running for the position of County Auditor-Treasurer because I want to continue to make sure public funds are safeguarded and only used to benefit the public and that elections continue to be run with the highest degree of integrity.
From your perspective, what is the role of County Auditor-Treasurer?
The main roles of the County Auditor-Treasurer are to maintain the County’s financial system by ensuring accountability and financial integrity; to oversee the Federal, State, County and Local Election process; and to calculate, collect, and distribute property taxes.
Why should the people of Redwood County vote for you?
The reason I would like to be re-elected as the County Auditor-Treasurer is because I enjoy working with the public, ensuring that the government’s finances are used for the benefit of the public, funds are kept protected from fraud and deceit, and the election process is run in a fair and just manner.
Please provide a brief biography of yourself.
I grew up on a farm in Southwestern Minnesota and received my bachelor’s degree from Southwest Minnesota State University in accounting. I became the County Auditor-Treasurer in March of 2008 when I was appointed to the elected position following the retirement of the former Auditor-Treasurer. I live in Lamberton with my husband and together we have three children.
