The Lamberton Historical Society and the Lamberton community invite the public to visit southern Redwood County for the annual Hot Iron Days festivities.
The community celebration is being held Sept. 7-8 with events Friday night and throughout the day Saturday.
The activity begins Friday at noon when the sand shop opens and the public has the chance to make their own mold. Cost for a basic mold is $15. The shop is being held in the park and continues until 7 p.m. It is open to people of all ages and abilities.
A free Kubb demonstration is being held from 7-9 p.m. in the Lamberton city park.
The “Sparks Under the Stars” iron pour is scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m.
The Lamberton Commercial Club and swimming pool committee are hosting a BBQ meal Friday from 5-7 p.m. and will be selling glow sticks, popcorn and beverages from 9 p.m. until they are gone.
The events continue Saturday when the sand shop opens at 8 a.m.
Also Saturday morning at 8 a.m. a medallion hunt begins, with clues posted every two hours at the blacksmith shop.
A sand volleyball tournament is set to start at 9 a.m. Registration for the tournament is open until noon Sept. 7. For more information, call (507) 822-1322.

The Kubb tournament begins at 10 a.m.
A car show is being held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Blacksmithing demonstrations will be taking place in the blacksmith shop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dean Fishel will be offering musical entertainment from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
From 12-3 p.m. there will be free activities in the park for the kids, as well as wagon rides.
The Saturday iron pour begins at 4 p.m.
Everyone is encouraged to attend Hot Iron Days in Lamberton Sept. 7-8.
