With the recent widespread, high-intensity rain events and flooding, the City of Redwood Falls is working to provide information to Redwood County Emergency Management, FEMA and Homeland Security Emergency Management to assist in meeting individual assistance thresholds for residents with basement/building flooding. Information on sewage back-ups is of higher priority, but information on clear water seepage through walls, floor cracks, window-wells etc. is also needed. If you are a Redwood Falls resident, please e-mail Redwood Falls City Hall at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call (507) 616-7400 and give your first and last name, address, phone, date of event, depth of inundation in inches and source i.e. floor drain, toilet, wall seepage, floor seepage, shower stall, utility sink, window wells, etc. The emergency declaration is going back to June 16, so any basement/building flooding due to the June 24, 2018 high intensity rain event should also be reported. This is a time sensitive request. Please report your individual information by 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 to be included in the initial damage assessment report.
