The 25th Annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Redwood County will be held July 13 at the Gilfillan Estate off of Trunk Highway 67 between Redwood Falls and Morgan starting at 5 p.m. with a meal and registration of cancer survivors.

A program is scheduled to take place after the meal.

The track will be open for walkers throughout the evening.

There will also be other family activities as well, including a kids’ silent auction, a general silent auction, a survivors garden, a DJ and more.

The public is invited to come and take part.

There will be a team and committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. this coming Monday (June 11) at Thrivent off of Highway 19 in Redwood Falls.

Volunteers not on a team or the committee but who are willing to help are also encouraged to come. Your help is needed. If you want to learn more about the Relay For Life and what it does, come to the meeting. Those involved will be happy to answer your questions.

Have you had a colonoscopy lately? If you are not on a regular schedule with your doctor or are 40 years old or older and have never had one, please schedule one now.

Another life was just saved recently because she had the test done. The test showed a growth. It was cancerous. The good news is it was found early enough that it was contained, and she does not need follow up treatment other than regular colon checkups.
