The annual summer celebration known as Pretzel Days will kick off in Lucan this Thursday (June 7) and will continue with activities through Sunday afternoon (June 10).
Located outdoors at Knott’s Corner, those who visit Thursday night can enjoy a burger/hotdog bar with root beer floats being sold from 6-8 p.m.
After eating lend a hand in painting a huge pretzel on Second street.
The Lions 40th annual beef dinner is Friday starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Lucan Community Center.
There will be youth ball games (6 p.m.), a bean bag tournament (7:30 p.m.), a karaoke contest and the first clue for our Medallion Hunt will be posted at 7 p.m.
The list of Saturday events includes: a 5K starting at 8:30 a.m., co-ed softball, volleyball, and bean bag tournaments and kids bouncy house along with train rides, mini golf and food stands.
Hit List is set to take the stage at Knott’s Corner at 9 p.m. for a free street dance.
The events wrap up Sunday.
Among the events taking place June 10 are: the Lucan firemen’s pancake breakfast which runs from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m.
The softball and volleyball tournaments will continue.
A kids pedal pull starts at 1 p.m. and will be followed by kids activities and treats.
The U of M Raptor Center will be in Lucan at 2:30 p.m. with a bald eagle, owl, hawk and falcon. The Lions cow chip Raffle starts at 3 p.m.
The Lucan Museum will be open Saturday from 1-4 and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The public is invited to visit Lucan and celebrate Pretzel Days this coming weekend.
