Enterprise Minnesota will be in Redwood Falls May 22 to discuss the findings from its 10th annual State of Manufacturing®, survey of Minnesota’s manufacturers.
The survey reveals the perceptions, opinions, challenges and opportunities manufacturers face in order to remain job-creating engines in our communities. More than 400 manufacturing executives representing a geographically proportional cross-section of Minnesota were interviewed for the survey.
This was complemented by 14 focus groups of manufacturing leaders, high-school and college students interested in a manufacturing career and – for the first time this year – parents of a current or recent high-school student.
The public is encouraged to attend the presentation featuring southwest Minnesota’s business and community leaders including:
• Mike Fey, Fey Industries (Edgerton)
• Dawn Hegland, Upper MN Valley Regional Development Commission (Appleton)
• Kathleen Nichols, Fast Global Solutions (Glenwood)
• Marty Rickers, Bedford Industries (Worthington)
• Daron VanderHeiden, Hutchinson Public Schools This is a premier occasion celebrating the region’s manufacturing industry.
The event is open to manufacturers and everyone connected to the industry including educators, elected officials, economic development professionals, granting agencies and members of the media.
The presentation is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls.
