The Redwood Valley gymnastics team continued its winning ways with a 129.6-121.975 victory over visiting Windom Area Thursday night in a Big South Conference match-up.

The Cardinals won three of the four events and tied on beam (29.675) to roll to an easy home victory. “It was a great night overall,” Coach Kelsi Magers said. “We’ve been struggling on beam, but I’ve been impressed with the way our other events have been going and that showed tonight.”

It was another strong outing for Emma Stevenson who captured the All-Around by nearly two points with a total of 34.45. She finished first on vault (9.25), beam (8.55), floor (8.85) and was second on bars (7.8).

Mikayla Opatz continued her dominance of the bars by earning another first-place finish with a score of 8.35. She also added a third place finish on beam (7.5).
