Rose Elizabeth “Betty” Dingels, 94, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Olivia, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Redwood Falls.  
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia. The Rev. Dennis Labat was the celebrant. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Rose Elizabeth “Betty” Dingels was born June 18, 1922 in Norfolk Township, Bird Island, to William and Julia (Keltgen) Leach. She grew up on the farm just south of Bird Island and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Bird Island. She then attended St. Mary’s Hospital School in Minneapolis graduating in 1943 as a registered nurse. Betty worked at the Cosgriff Clinic in Olivia from 1943-46.   
She married Kenneth Dingels October 26, 1946 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bird Island. They farmed north of Olivia in Kingman Township and were blessed with five children. Following the death of her husband Kenneth in 1977, she moved to Olivia in 1981.   
Betty regained her nursing certificate in 1978 and began work again as an RN at the Bird Island Manor nursing home until her retirement. She was a faithful member of St. Aloysius Church and enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards, quilting, crocheting and sewing for her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children: Nancy Wee of Viroqua, Wis., JoAnn (and John) Glady of Wykoff, Charlotte (and Carroll) Sutton of Richmond, Ky. and Steve (and Pat) Dingels of Redwood Falls; daughter-in-law Linda Dingels of Northfield; 12 grandchildren: Jason Wee, Nicole (and Mike) Tyriver and Becky Wee; Janelle (and Karl) Campeau, Mark (and Hilary) Glady, Sister Mary Elisha (Kathleen), Margaret (and Nick) Hewitt; Chris Dingels, Angela Dingels, Brian (and Angela) Dingels; Jaclyn Dingels and Scott Dingels; 14 great-grandchildren: Evangeline Wee; Lindsey and Landon Tyriver; Julia and Jacques Campeau; Raegyn, Bentley, and Beckett Glady; Rachel Hewitt; Dylan, Brianna, Madison and Jordyn Dingels and Noah Dingels;  sisters: Edna (and Lloyd) Buschette and Sister Ann William Leach (Mary Ann); brother-in-law Don Lippert and sister-in-law Elaine Dobmeier.  
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth; son Eugene Dingels; great-granddaughter Marian Hewitt; sisters: Julia (and Odean) Olson and Eva (and Osborne) Wangen; brothers Ray Leach, Henry Leach,  Walt Leach, Jack (and Delores) Leach, Bob (and Katherine) Leach, Francis (and Arlene) Leach and in-laws Rita (and Vernon) Hopman, Marjorie (and Henry) Dirksen, Valora Lippert, Leona (and Moran) O’Halloran, LaVon Heinen (Florian Heinen and Kenny Grund) and Ernest Dobmeier.
