The City of Redwood Falls has announced it is going to be developing a new comprehensive plan that will cover the years 2017-2035.

With the last plan dating back to 1995, the city’s leadership has opted to conduct a new comprehensive plan that will present a vision for the future of the city by defining long-range goals and objectives that impact the community as a whole.

With that in mind, the city has determined the most important part of that process is having direct feedback from its residents, community leaders and other valued and interested  stakeholders.

In order to collect that public input, the city has scheduled a kickoff meeting, which is being held Jan. 10 at the Redwood Area Community Center starting at 4:30 p.m.

The event schedule includes an informal information and input session being held from 4:30-5:30 p.m., with a plan and overview presentation starting at 5:30 p.m. A time of networking follows beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting is scheduled to conclude at 6:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend this meeting to help develop the vision for Redwood Falls.
