Strandmark, Lorena W. (Zuehlsdorf) Age 104, passed away January 17, 2022, in Sleepy Eye MN. She had resided in Bloomington MN for over 30 years prior to her death.

Preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers, and one son, Dale A. Strandmark.

Lorena was born in Sheridan Twp, Redwood Co, MN June 25th, 1917, which is where she also married Donald W. Strandmark on April 11th, 1948. He died in 1990, also on January 17th. Raised on her parents’ family farm in Redwood County, she was a graduate of Belview MN High School. During WWII she worked as an assembler at Honeywell on various devices used in the war effort. After the war she worked in private industry in Minneapolis, where she and her husband met. After marriage Lorena devoted herself to raising her family. She encouraged her children in their educational pursuits and provided her family with a secure and loving home.

Survived by son Steven, daughter Nancy, and daughter-in-law Pat Strandmark; sister-in-law Carol Uecker; grandchildren Katherine (Gary) Mathews, Emily (Elliott) Grier, Matthew (Alyssa) Strandmark, Kristen (Nick) Hillesheim, and Rachel Strandmark. Also survived by eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorials preferred to Volunteers of America to aid in their many charitable efforts, or to the donor’s favorite charity.
