The City of Wabasso is excited to host its 125th Celebration this weekend, August 1–3, 2025.
Wabasso students took a trip to Washington D.C. last week. After an early morning start, the group started their day off walking by the Library of Congress, Supreme Court, and touring the inside of the Capitol Building. They also took a quick stop to the Washington Monument and WWII Memorial before heading over to the Pentagon to view the 9/11 memorial.
Jason Behrendt of Wabasso was the winner of the Green Mountain Grill Ledge 2.0 at the 54th Annual Wabasso Lions Pork BBQ held on Wednesday, June 25.
Now that summer is in full swing, we wanted to remind everyone about some events we have on the horizon at the library. As always, our programs and activities are free.
On a quiet stretch of countryside just outside Wabasso, a beautiful burst of color and community spirit comes to life each spring at Schmiesing Flower Farm. For more than 15 years, this local gem has offered more than just garden plants and floral arrangements, it has created a space where hard work, family values, and small-town pride are planted, nurtured, and grown year after year.
Wabasso Legion and the American Red Cross will again be sponsoring a Blood Drive at the Wabasso Community Center on Wednesday, July 9 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Donor appreciation event with food, dessert and gifts. Please call Arlene at 342-5493 to make an appointment.
Congratulations to the JV team for earning third place in Class AAAA and to the Novice team for doing likewise!
With our Summer Reading Program underway, we wanted to remind everyone about some of the activities we have lined up in the next few weeks at the Wabasso Public Library.
