October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence Awareness Month focuses on raising awareness of domestic violence in our local communities. WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Programs, Inc. (WRAP) is a nonprofit that serves victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking in Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine Counties in Minnesota. Janean Frieda (Meyer) McKay, 85, of Redwood Falls passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m.
Marcella B. Dammann, 94, from Springfield, formerly from Lamberton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Sleepy Eye Medical Center in Sleepy Eye. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lamberton with a Facebook livestream at Stephens Funeral Service Facebook page. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will be at Lamberton Cemetery. As a tribute to Marcella and Stanley, and to support the community, we invite people to the American Legion Auxiliary Fall Luncheon for fellowship following the burial.
