Mass of Christian Burial for Dianne Eis, 78, of Marshall, formerly of Seaforth, will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. with a CCW Rosary at 4 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9 - 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Seaforth. A livestream and recording of the service will be available at www.holy-redeemer.com. Dianne Marie (Wurscher) Eis was born on July 17, 1944, in Vesta to Lawrence and Gertrude (Pistulka) Wurscher. She grew up in Seaforth and attended St. Anne’s Catholic School in Wabasso. On September 29, 1962, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Eis. The couple farmed and raised their family on a farm near Seaforth. Dianne also worked at the Social Security Office, for the Bremer Bank Trust Department, and for Southwest Minnesota State University for almost 20 years. Although she grew up in town, Dianne was quite well suited for farm life. She was the bond of the family and involved with social activities and family rituals. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed much of the family clothing including wedding dresses for her daughters. Her faith was very important to her. Dianne was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She taught CCD and was a member of the Christian Mother’s group. She came from a very musical family and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Dianne was a voracious reader and enjoyed current events, history and other topics. She and Dick were very social and belonged to several local organizations and clubs in Seaforth. The couple moved to Marshall in 2018 and were active members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Dianne died on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. She is survived by her husband, Dick Eis of Marshal
Sherri Lynne (Woelfel) Bertrand, 53, of Willmar, formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away peacefully while under hospice care after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Memorial Services were held at 11 a.m.
