PAUL W. PRYOR

Paul W. Pryor passed away peacefully at age 92 in Redwood Falls. He is survived by his wife Marvel, children Joseph (Laura, Andrew), Anne, Michael (Mary) Patrick, and Matthew (Jill, Madeline, Mariel). Paul was born in Redwood Falls, the son of Robert Wayne Pryor and Lucy Marie (Gits) Pryor. He graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1948. After serving with the United States Air Force for four years, he graduated from St. John’s University (SJU), with degrees in Economics and Business Administration and a minor in Philosophy, using the GI bill. He played the trombone in the SJU marching band and orchestra. Paul served in the Korean War as Staff Sergeant US Air Force Intelligence, serving two years in Tokyo, Japan. He met Marvel in her senior year of college on a blind date. They married in 1958 and moved to Fergus Falls where she taught 5th grade and Paul served as the Finance Manager for Firestone. They moved to Redwood Falls in 1959. Paul started his career as the City Clerk/Treasurer for the City of Redwood Falls, and was instrumental in the development of the Sunnyside Heights Division, adding 40 houses a year to the community. He joined Redwood Falls Savings and Loan, now HomeTown Bank, at the urging of Ed Johnson in 1966, where he served as President/CEO and Director until his retirement in 2002. Paul believed that “everyone deserved a home and a good job.” He spent his career helping to provide those to the citizens of Redwood Falls, his beloved hometown, and the surrounding area. Paul was active in many community and development organizations including the Corporate Development Association, where he collaborated with community leaders to develop Anderson Farms into Control Data (now Daktronics) and the industrial park. As a member of the Citizen’s Development Corporation, he partnered with leaders to develop Northwood Terrace. RICHARD DAHLGREN

Husband, father, grandfather, Richard Dahlgren, 76, of Bird Island entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bird Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Bird Island City Cemetery.

Jennifer Ann Rudenick, 43, of Seaforth passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, surrounded by family at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 9 at the church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Seaforth. Jennifer Ann Rudenick was born March 14, 1979, to Dean and Ann (Rohlik) Rudenick in Redwood Falls. She was baptized on April 1, 1979, and confirmed in May of 1993 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Seaforth. Jennifer graduated from Wabasso Public Schools and continued her education at the VoTech school in Granite Falls. There she received her accounting associates degree. Jennifer was employed at Walmart for many years and was a faithful member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. You could often find Jennifer tending to her flower beds around her home including her favorite daylilies. She loved feeding the birds and watching them out her window. Jennifer enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandmothers. She loved sewing and baking for her nieces and nephews. Jennifer is survived by her mother Ann of rural Seaforth; brothers: Clint (Sara), Clifford (Cristin), both of Seaforth and Clayton (Sheena) of Willmar; nieces & nephews: Dugan and Rhylee, Holden and Hogan, and Ayla and Nolan; grandmothers: Ila Mae Rohlik and Mary Rudenick; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her father Dean and grandfathers Gerald Rohlik and Russell Rudenick.
