Lundeen named Scholar Athlete

Redwood Valley High School’s Drew Lundeen was recently named a Scholar-Athlete by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation. This annual award honors Minnesota high school football players for their outstanding athletic, academic and community service accomplishments.

Cards name three to All Big South squad

Following a successful 2021-22 campaign the Redwood Valley boys basketball team had three players named to the First-Team All Big South squad. The senior trio of Alex Lang, Carson Woodford and Drew Lundeen were all honored after helping lead the Cards to a 22-win season that saw them fall one game shy of a State Tournament berth and a tie for second in the Big South West Conference standings.

Cardinal freshmen capture Title

A group of Redwood Valley freshmen capped off their season by winning the Mississippi Division of the MYAS Freshman Basketball Championships held March 6 at Mounds View High School. The Cardinals topped Prior Lake Gold, Spring Lake Park and overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to defeat Duluth Denfeld in the title game. Cardinals win Subsection

Head Coach Aaron Lindahl celebrates with senior guard Charles LaChapelle in the waning moments of the Cardinals 68-56 win over Pipestone Area Saturday in the Section 3AA-South title game. With the victory the Cardinals (22-7) will square off with Morris Area/CA (26-2) in the Section 3AA title game tonight at 8 p.m. in Marshall.
