It was a dominating performance by the Redwood Valley baseball team Saturday, May 7 at Memorial Field as they cruised to a non-conference twinbill sweep of BOLD and Springfield. The Cardinal pitching staff was oustanding, allowing just four hits in two games while the offense was more than enough with 26 runs scored in the two games.
The Redwood Valley girls golf team continued their dominance of Big South competition with an easy win Monday, May 9 at the Windom Country Club. The Cardinals fired a 352 team total to outdistance second place Marshall (401) by 49 strokes.
The Wabasso baseball team split a Tomahawk Conference doubleheader with rival SESM Thursday, May 5 in Wabasso. The Rabbits took game one 5-2 and would fall 9-8 in eight innings in game two.
The Redwood Valley boys and girls track teams hosted an Invitational event Tuesday, April 26 at the Inglis Track & Field Complex. Will Ahrens remained unbeaten in the 1,600 meter run as he won in a time of 4:50.
The River Valley boys and girls track teams continued to dominate as the girls finished first and the boys second at the New Ulm Invitational held Thursday, April 28 in New Ulm. The Wilcat girls racked up 147.5 team points to easily outdistance second place New Ulm (125.5) in the six team event.
The Wabasso girls softball team split a doubleheader with Tomahawk Conference rival Springfield in recent action. The Rabbit girls fell 11-1 in five innings and held off the Tigers 7-6.
The talented Redwood Valley girls golf team continued their strong play by winning a Big South Conference quadrangular held at the Luverne Country Club. The Cards fired a 183 team total to hold off second place Marshall by 12 shots (195).
The Redwood Valley tennis team topped Albert Lea in a non-conference triangular meet held Saturday, April 30. In a meet that featured five doubles matches, the Cards got a 6-1, 6-1 win by Andrew Muetzel and Drew Lundeen.
The Redwood Valley girls golf team topped a depleted Windom Area squad Thursday, April 21 at the Redwood Falls Golf Club. It was the home debut for the Cards who have only been able to play twice so far this spring due to the horrid weather conditions.
