Cardinals hold off Indians

A late run in the final two innings helped Redwood Valley escape with a 2-1 win over visiting Sleepy Eye Thursday, May 19 in a non-conference match-up. It was a pitcher's dual for most of the game as the Indians' Jackson Huiras pitched well as did the Cardinal duo of Carson Woodford and Jahger Bill.

Local baseball team finishes second

Ten local third and fourth grade boys from Redwood Falls recently finished second at the Elk River Icebreaker Baseball Tournament held Sunday, May 1. The group - which had been practicing a few days per week since the end of February in preparation for the tournament - went 2-1 to finish second overall.

Cardinal girls nab Big South title

The Redwood Valley girls golf team continued its memorable 2022 campaign by capturing the Big South Conference Tournament held Monday at Dacotah Ridge Gof Club. The Cardinals had three finishers in the top 10 and held off Fairmont by three strokes (354-357) in the 10-team event to claim victory.

Cardinals dominate twinbill

It was a dominating performance by the Redwood Valley baseball team Saturday, May 7 at Memorial Field as they cruised to a non-conference twinbill sweep of BOLD and Springfield. The Cardinal pitching staff was oustanding, allowing just four hits in two games while the offense was more than enough with 26 runs scored in the two games.
