The Wabasso Rabbits and Cedar Mountain Cougars recently had a number of players named to the All-Tomahawk Conference basketball teams for the 2022-23 campaign. The Cedar Mountain boys team came within a half of basketball of making it to State after a memorable Section 2A run and had three members honored.
Enrollment is now open for Minnesota’s 2023 Walk-In Access program, which pays landowners to allow public hunting on private lands. Since 2011, the Walk-In Access program has enrolled parcels of 40 acres or larger with high-quality natural cover.
It was a memorable first season on varsity for Redwood Valley sophomore Lukas Means as he stamped his name in the record books and was a catalyst in leading the Cardinals to within one game of State. Means was part of a young Cardinal group that had the task of replacing 15 departed seniors and he made the most of his first varsity action by establishing himself early and often as one of the top young shooters in the entire state.
A cinderella postseason run to State came up just short for the Redwood Valley boys basketball team as they fell to Eden Valley- Watkins 75-72 in the Section 3AA title game held recently on the campus of SMSU in Marshall.

The Redwood Valley Area 4th and 5th grade boys’ basketball teams will play Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26, in the Region 3 championship for grades 4-9 at Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls as the first stage of the 31st Annual Pacesetter Minnesota Youth Basketball State Championships. Teams playing Saturday include 4B, 6B, 8B, 5G, 7G, and 9G.

A put-back by sophomore Blake Schueller with just over two seconds remaining helped Cedar Mountain edge Lester Prairie 51-49 for the Section 2A-North Sub-Section title Monday night in St. Peter.
