As we rush towards the busiest time of the year, we start to take stock of many things during this season.
To the editor:In recent years I have been hearing about negative trends in our nation’s schools: Declining academic performance, shrinking numbers of Americans qualified to enter technical fields, increasing violence and truancy rates.
Hopefully you exercised your right to vote in this election.
It’s been a great start to the year at Redwood Valley Middle School.
The excitement of a new school year brings many things to the students and staff that enter our buildings.

As the Director of Teaching and Learning of the Redwood Area School District(RASD), I believe that it is one of my greatest responsibilities to celebrate the great teaching and learning that happens in our classrooms each and every day.
