Annual Bids Against Abuse event to be hosted in Redwood Falls

For the first time, Redwood Falls will host the Sixth Annual Bids Against Abuse event at the Redwood Area Community Center from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Organized by the WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Program (WRAP), the evening aims to honor survivors, remember victims, and raise funds for ongoing advocacy efforts.

Larson’s Home Furnishings donates van to Redwood Area Food Shelf

This is the second time Larson’s has donated a van to the food shelf. “When I heard that the transmission had worn out on the first van after many years of service at the food shelf, it seemed like the right time for Larson’s Home Furnishings to purchase a new delivery van and pass our excess van to the food shelf once again,” said Scott. “Dave and Cindy and all of the volunteers do a terrific job. We’re happy to lend our support.”
