The Redwood Area Education Foundation is honored to announce the 2025 inductees into the Redwood Area Schools Hall of Fame. These individuals have made a lasting impact through their professional excellence, community service, and commitment to education.
Redwood County Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post #2553 presented to Ava Lund, of the Redwood Gazette, a VFW Newspaper Publication Citation. The award is in recognition of and sincere appreciation for the consistent wholehearted efforts through which Lund has promoted the Citizenship Education of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Lund has edited and published over 25 articles in support of VFW Post #2553 programs. Articles were judged as 1st place in 2023 and 2nd in 2024 in the Minnesota Department of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Newspaper article competition.
It’s been a busy stretch of wrestling for Redwood’s own Nolan Ourada who has continued to compete at a high level since finishing fourth at 107 pounds at the Minnesota State High School Tournament this past spring.

The Redwood Falls Farmers’ Market officially opened for the season on Tuesday, July 8, and will continue through October. Shoppers can enjoy locally grown produce, handmade goods, and more every Tuesday from 3–6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. at the parking lot on the corner of Washington Street and Bridge Street.
