The Redwood Falls Farmers’ Market officially opened for the season on Tuesday, July 8, and will continue through October. Shoppers can enjoy locally grown produce, handmade goods, and more every Tuesday from 3–6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. at the parking lot on the corner of Washington Street and Bridge Street.

The Emerald Ash Borer, a destructive and invasive insect, is expected to kill every ash tree in Redwood Falls over the next five years. That means more than 10,000 trees, or roughly 30 percent of the city’s entire canopy, will be lost.
Redwood Falls City Council met Tuesday, July 1 and approved the Emerald Ash Borer response expenses.
