DNR: Stay sober, ride smart on snowmobiles

Snowmobile trail conditions vary throughout Minnesota but, in areas where there’s good snow, riders have been getting out with gusto. Snowmobile tracks are common sights in road ditches, on trails and atop the ice. This year’s busy start to the riding season continues a surge in recent years of people riding snowmobiles to enjoy Minnesota’s outdoors.

Seeing through the eyes of faith

On the wall of my member’s home that I was visiting last week were graduation pictures of their kids. Whenever I read the Apostle Paul’s words to the Ephesians in chapter 2, that image comes to my mind. I imagine that God has my picture on his wall or in his wallet. Verse 6 says, “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” (Eph 2:6 NIV). However, if you look closer at that passage, it says more than that. It actually says that God sees US seated with him, not just our picture. What a mind-boggling thought. God sees us in the future, but speaks of it as already done in the past.

RF Blood Drive draws donors

Heather Smith, coordinator of the local blood drive that was held Monday and Tuesday this week, said Monday was a very busy day. “We are so appreciative of the hardworking staff of the Red Cross, but like so many other organizations, they are tired and short-staffed” said Smith on Monday evening.
