Senate commerce budget and policy package contains more fees, fewer protections for Minnesotans

The DFL majority’s Omnibus Commerce Policy and Appropriations bill (Senate File 2216) passed out of the Senate without strong bipartisan support. While the bill contains a handful of bipartisan provisions, it also increases costs, fails to protect Minnesota consumers, and lacks genuine compromise.

Redwood County Sheriff’s Office and the Wabasso American Legion Auxiliary sponsor the Children’s Identification Program

Sheriff Jason Jacobson of Redwood County and Joyce Plaetz of the Wabasso American Legion Auxiliary worked together to set up the Children’s Identification Program. Jacobson’s officers ran a part of the program by fingerprinting the kindergarteners and the first graders in both Wabasso Elementary School and St. Anne’s elementary school on April 9.
