Motorists traveling in Minnesota this spring should watch for large, slow-moving farm equipment and drive with caution, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Crash data shows there were 374 crashes involving farm equipment in Minnesota since 2019, resulting in eight deaths and 133 injuries.

Celebrate Redwood Falls (CRWF) hosted their ninth annual NightFalls three-night event May 5-7. In addition to the light displays along the road, the event included over 27 lighted areas decorated by organizations and businesses, totaling over three miles of lit trails throughout Ramsey Park.
The Redwood Falls City Council met Tuesday, May 3 and approved the housing committee's recommendation of lot pricing and purchase information. Phase one of the Reflection Prairie Addition includes 20 single-family residential lots and seven estate lots. The housing committee recommended to establish single-family home lots at $34,900 with an early buyer discount of $5,000 if a purchase agreement is signed prior to yearend.
Redwood Falls Friends of the Park (FOP) is ready to celebrate the grand opening of the new accessible and inclusive playground addition at Ramsey Park's Zeb Gray Shelter area. The celebration will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday, May 18 at the playground at 3:30 p.m.
IDEAg, producer of Minnesota Farmfest, invites area 4-H clubs and FFA chapters to sign up for the Hay Bale Art Auction to raise money for their organizations. Groups participating in this program will work, as a club or chapter, to design and build a sculpture made primarily from hay or straw bales along with paint and other supplies.
With unanimous support, the Minnesota Senate on Thursday passed legislation that makes critical investments into Veteran services across the state. This bill includes provisions that provide post-service resources, expand housing options, and fund enlistment and re-enlistment bonuses. The sole focus of this bill is to meet the needs of Veterans across Minnesota.
The Redwood Area Chamber Ag Committee and Agriculture Future of America (AFA) announced the scholarship recipients for the 2021-22 school year. Adam Castle, a Senior at Redwood Valley High School, and Tanner Mathiowetz, a Senior at Cedar Mountain High School, have each been selected as the 2022 Redwood Area Chamber Ag Committee and AFA Scholarship Recipients.
Redwood Valley FFA sent a record 44 FFA members to the Minnesota FFA State Convention, April 24 to 26, held at the University of Minnesota campuses and State Fairgrounds. They joined the more than 4,700 FFA members, advisors and guests from throughout the state who gathered for the convention sessions, key note speakers, and competition.
