Free produce at farmers market for eligible participants until Sept. 30

The Redwood Falls Farmers Market is a recipient of a CARES Mini Grant from Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging. Eligible participants can receive a token worth $4 to be used on fresh fruits and fresh vegetables in exchange for participant's name, address, phone number, and birth date. The program will run on both Tuesdays and Saturdays during market hours until Sept 30.

E-Free Church offering Sunday evening worship starting September

Submitted The E-Free Church of Redwood Falls, 1370 East Bridge Street (next to Pizza Ranch), will be offering Sunday evening worship services starting in September. These services will present Bible studies that will alternate every other week. On Sept. 11, these services will begin with 'End Times,' a study of how the Bible predicts the world and its history is going to end. On Sunday, Sept. 18, a book study of the New Testament book of James will begin. Both studies will be led by Pastor Dan Vesta. These services will each be one hour long, with each service beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Walk-In Access lands open starting Sept. 1 Beginning Thursday, Sept. 1, hunters can access nearly 29,000 acres of private land across 39 counties in western and south-central Minnesota through the Walk-In Access program, which pays landowners to allow public hunting on their property.

A Summer Wildlife Extravaganza

The fall is creeping upon us and it is evident with the plethora of new life that local wildlife are learning how to cope with their unique day to day activities before the winter moves in. I've had the pleasure of capturing some unique moments from young fawns, to mature doe surrounded by flowers or crops, butterflies on sunflowers, a fox and its young kit, a beautiul eastern kingbird as well as our national bird the bald eagle.
