Cansayapi Wicoicage Oti will be hosting a Wetu Arts Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at Jackpot Junction’s Dacotah Expo Center. This market will feature items such as quillwork, ledger art, beadwork and adornments.
On World Down Syndrome Day, Functional Fitness will be hosting their first Rock Your Socks 5k Walk/Run event on Friday, March 21 in Redwood Falls.
The Morgan Community Play is back for its 36th year! It will be held at the Morgan High School Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 with 7 p.m. performances and Sunday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door before each performance, no reserved seating. Adults are only $8 and 12 and under are $5. Funds from the play go directly back to Morgan area organizations that will benefit from their receipt. The cast is made up of 16 members, three of whom are new to the group, and is directed by Julia Garms and Char Carlson. This play is very family friendly, great for young and old alike!
Celebrate Redwood Falls hosted their annual Fire and Ice Festival over the weekend with an attendance of 696; a lower turnout than the previous Fire and Ice Festival hosted in 2023. Last year’s event was canceled due to poor ice conditions.
