To be listed, a student must have earned a 3.666 GPA or higher and completed a minimum of 12 credits graded A-F.

Celebrate Redwood Falls is back with ninth Fire and Ice Festival

Celebrate Redwood Falls invites all to have a blast on Lake Redwood on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fire and Ice Festival. Enjoy free activities and food for all ages. Bring your skates to the ice rink or follow the cleared trail upriver. Pick up your hot dog, s’mores kit and hot beverage and enjoy one of the many bonfires. The festival will have mini golf, broom ball, bean bag, Bobski racing and more. Take a walk along the Tiki Torch Trail or take a sled ride to explore the Redwood River with Cornerstone Church. Celebrate Redwood Falls will have a fireworks show at 8 p.m. as the grand finale.

Cardinal gymnasts dominate Eagles

Dominating on bars, beam and floor the Redwood Valley gymnasts rolled to a 128.55-120.35 win over Windom Area Thursday night in a Big South Conference dual. Cardinal junior Avery Wilson captured the All-Around with her score of 34.225.

Rabbit wrestlers pick up victories

The Wabasso wrestlers have been busy, taking part in the Springfield Quadrangular and hosting a home quadrangular. The Rabbits rolled to a 66-9 win over Madelia-Truman- Martin Luther as Nathan Riley (106), Adryen Tietz (145), Chance Fischer (152) and Preston Remiger (160) all won by fall.

Arrows dominate Cards in Big South match-up

An ice cold shooting night proved costly for the Redwood Valley boys basketball team as they struggled to a 73-48 loss to visiting Pipestone Area Friday night in the second half of a Big South boy/girl doubleheader.

Redwood Valley hung tough for most of the game but the visiting Pipestone Area Eagles would pull away in the second half en route to a 58-42 win over the Cards Friday night in the first half of a boy/ girls Big South doubleheader.
