Wabasso senior dining menu through Friday, April 28

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wabasso Senior Dining is only offering home delivery of meals, until further notice. Home delivery is available to those residing in Wabasso, Wanda, Lucan, Seaforth, Vesta, Delhi, Lamberton, Redwood Falls, Clements, Morton, Fairfax, Franklin, Gibbon, and Winthrop. To order a meal, or for more information, call Diane at 507-829-2385. You are asked to call one day prior by noon to order a meal. The cost is $4 a meal for those ages 60 and over; $2 on Thursdays for Wabasso residents. Menus are subject to change.

MARGARET (PEGGY) BROWN

July 24, 1924 - March 31, 2023 Margaret (Peggy) Brown of Bloomington died March 31, 2023, at age 98. Preceded in death by parents, Patrick and Lenare Brown, sisters Mary Ann Scudder (John), Jeanne Marie Fuller (Paul), and brothers Robert Brown (Joan) and James Brown.

Annual NightFalls Event coming May 4-6

The Celebrate Redwood Falls Committee will be hosting the Annual NightFalls Event on Thursday, May 4 through Saturday, May 6 in Ramsey Park. Event attendees will have the option to walk the trails or drive through the park to see four miles of light displays.

MMIR March on Friday, May 5

Dakota Wicohan will be hosting a Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) March in Redwood Falls on Friday, May 5 to bring awareness to the community. The march will begin at the Redwood Falls Muni Airport– RWF at 4 p.m.

Rabbits off to unbeaten start

The Wabasso girls softball team opened up the regular with a pair of victories over MVL and MCC. The Rabbits (2-0) opened up against Tomahawk Conference foe MVL and would roll to a 14-1 (five inning) victory over the Chargers.
