The Easter Flowers

Sometimes during the year my study is used to house flowers during the week since there is more natural light in it than there is in the church. So I am blessed to have some fragrant flowers to study among. This is good so long as my allergies don’t kick in. One of the times that I especially enjoy the flowers, whether in my office or in church, is during the season of Easter. Flowers share a wonderful message about the resurrection. This is explained to us in 1 Corinthians 15:35-38, and 42-44a: “But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body will they come?” 36 How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. 38 But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.”

Successful two-day Redwood Falls Blood Drive thanks to community support and dedicated donors

It was a successful two-day blood drive again thanks to the great community support and dedicated donors who schedule their appointments and make the commitment. Another big thanks to the wonderful group of volunteers who pull this community event together four times a year. The donors truly enjoy coming to the Redwood Falls Community Center for this event and appreciate the hospitality shown for their commitment to give blood. As the complimentary t-shirts say this time, “Be Cool, Give Blood.” Thanks to all donors who provided the food for the canteen or businesses who made a financial contribution.

Letter to the Editor

To the editor: In regards to the editorial Cartoon of April 20, do not make fun of our justice system. The Federal Judge made the ruling because the drug company did not follow the rules for approval of the drug.
