Starry Night at RVHS Prom 2023

Redwood Valley High School hosted their 2023 Prom Saturday, April 26 with “Starry Night” as this year’s theme. Following the Grand March that took place in the Redwood Valley Gymnasium, 140 students bussed over to Inspire Wedding and Events in New Ulm for dinner, dancing, and hypnotism by Gary Tyson.

Cardinal golfers edge Cass Lake-Bena

The Redwood Valley boys golf team held off Cass Lake-Bena by five shots in a non-conference dual held out at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club. In less than ideal conditions the Cards were able to have three of the top four finishers to win 390-395.

Tietz pitches no-hitter in Rabbit win over Tigers

It was a memorable Monday for Wabasso’s Adryen Tietz as he recorded a no-hitter in the Rabbits twinbill split with Springfield Monday afternoon. The Rabbits dropped game one 9-2 but Tietz dominated the Tiger line-up, going seven hitless innings and striking out 15 batters to earn the nono and the win in a 2-0 victory.

Flinn, Ahrens top school records at Wolverine Invite

It was a record setting day for Redwood Valley junior McKenna Flinn and sophomore Will Ahrens as both established new school records at the Sibley East Track Invitational. Flinn broke her own record in the pole vault as she cleared 8’9” to better her previous mark of 8’4” set a year ago.

Cardinals split twinbill with Bucs

In a good early season test the Redwood Valley baseball team split a Big South Conference road doubleheader with Blue Earth Area. The Cards would fall 3-2 in nine innings in game one but answered back with a solid 3-0 win in game two to earn the split.
