Tietz, Carlson pitch gems for Rabbits

The Wabasso baseball team got another gem from ace Adryen Tietz on the way to a 2-0 win over MVL in Tomahawk Conference play. Tietz - who recently recorded a no-hitter - allowed just one hit and struck out 19 of the 24 Charger batters he faced in a seven inning shutout.

Cards drop a pair of Big South battles

A late 6-2 lead collapsed for the Redwood Valley baseball team as they fell 10-7 to visiting Windom Area in recent Big South action. The Cardinals looked to be in control up 6-2 with two innings to go but the Eagles would plate five runs in the sixth and tacked on three more runs in the seventh to turn the tables and escape with the win.

Cardinal tracksters perfom well at Big South Meet

The Redwood Valley boys and girls track teams will head into the Sub-Section Meet on a high note after strong performances at the Big South Conference Meet held Monday in Blue Earth. Luverne would capture both the girls and boys titles followed by JCC and Redwood Valley.

Jaxx head into fifth season of action

With spring comes baseball, and the Wabasso Jaxx 2023 season is just on the horizon. The amateur baseball team will be beginning their fifth overall season on May 24th, as they take on the Sacred Heart Saints at 7:30 pm in Wabasso.

RVHS band held a concert on Tuesday, May 9

Redwood Valley High School held a band concert on Tuesday, May 9 and had three components. First, the high school jazz band played three pieces that they received a superior rating for on Saturday, May 6 at Mountain Lake High School at the MSHSL Solo/Ensemble Regional Music Contest.

Cardinal netters hold off T-Hawks

The Redwood Valley tennis team continued to rack up wins as they held off Montevideo 4-3 in recent non-conference dual meet action. The Cardinals dominated singles play, winning three of the four matches to help secure the victory and have now won seven of their last eight dual meets.
