The Redwood Valley High School girls basketball team dropped a pair of recent Big South Conference matchups with Worthington and Luverne. The Cardinals fell 67-14 to visiting Luverne on Friday, Jan.

Smith and Wolner play NU Eagles girls varsity hockey

A pair of Redwood Valley athletes are a part of the surging New Ulm Eagles girls hockey team this winter. Sophomore Michelle Smith and eighth grader Tristyn Wolner are members of the Eagles varsity squad that is 20-3 overall and 13-0 in Big South Conference play.

WABASSO - Mass of Christian Burial for Francis Goblirsch, 94, of Wabasso, will be on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. A livestream and recording of the service will be available at www.lowafc.org. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.

REDWOOD FALLS - Joanne D. Luttman age 78 of Redwood Falls, formerly of Lamberton, passed away while surrounded by her family on Monday, January 24, 2022 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center after a six year battle with Lewy body dementia. Joanne was under the loving care of Carris Health Redwood Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Interment is in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
