The Redwood Valley track athletes were in action Thursday afternoon, April 21 at the Windom Invitational. The Cardinal girls picked up a win in the 4x800 relay with the team of Ellie Nelson, Annie Lunde, Madi Munsell and Catherine Buffie (11:03.32).

A new way of construction is coming to the LSIC

The Lower Sioux Indian Community (LSIC) is set to build two single-family housing units using hempcrete as an affordable, non-toxic and sustainable alternative to traditional construction. This hemp project is set to begin in July.

A seven-run fifth inning proved to be the difference as the Redwood Valley baseball team rallied to top host Pipestone Area 14-8, Saturday, April 16 in a Big South Conference battle. The Cardinals - a perfect 3-0 to start the season - trailed 6-4 through four innings but erupted for seven runs in the deciding fifth inning to take control.

Spring is Sprung. Or has it?

They say it’s Spring. But how do you know for sure? At first glance, it’s hard to tell it apart from Fall. Sure, the snow is melting. But underneath, there are the dead, brown leaves. Again. You may wonder: What the heck? I thought I bagged those up?! No, you bagged other leaves. But then more, other leaves fell and/or blew into your yard. Then it snowed. And you cannot bag leaves under the snow. Thus, there are the dead, brown leaves. Again. Sigh.
