Dredging of Lake Redwood has begun

Since early October 2021, a considerable amount of preparation has taken place for the dredging effort of Lake Redwood. Over 23,000 feet of black, 18-inch diameter pipeline has -been placed to transport to the dredged -material to the dewatering pond north of the city.

April 5th grade Cardinals of the Month

Why was Carissa nominated for Cardinal of the Month? Carissa is a very hard worker who always does her best. She's not afraid to raise her hand and contribute to class discussions with thoughts that help us all learn. She is a sweet, calm presence who you can count on for a smile. Carissa is a joy to have in class.

Why was Dante nominated for Cardinal of the Month? Dante is a fantastic student who works hard every day. He has such a positive energy that he brings to class. We are so lucky to have Dante at RVMS as he makes it a better place.

To my Easter people

This Sunday as we were sharing are prayer concerns, we prepared as we have for the past several weeks to pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia. I said, “we should take note that these nations are primarily made up of Orthodox Christians and that while we celebrated Easter last Sunday this is Easter Sunday for them and thus, we should pray for our brothers and sisters as they celebrated the resurrection this morning.” I quickly corrected myself and said, “not that we aren’t celebrating the resurrections ourselves this morning.” I had fallen into the trap that is far to easy to stubble into treating Easter as something we celebrate one day a year and not a day that should change every day of our lives. We celebrate every day because of the resurrection.

The Redwood Valley girls golf team topped a depleted Windom Area squad Thursday, April 21 at the Redwood Falls Golf Club. It was the home debut for the Cards who have only been able to play twice so far this spring due to the horrid weather conditions.

Senate passes comprehensive public safety package to reduce crime and support law enforcement

Monday, the Minnesota Senate passed a comprehensive public safety bill, by a vote of 48-19. The Republican-led bill provides critical funding to hold criminals accountable and keep Minnesota’s communities safe. It focuses on all aspects of the criminal justice system and courts, including youth intervention, criminal laws, sentencing guidelines, police, prosecutors, public defenders, judges, prisons, and probation.

Dr. Jerry Page Becker, beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and worldrenowned mathematics educator, passed away at the age of 85, surrounded by family, on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.

Unperturbed, Coelho confidently waited for more sales to come in, but he waited a long time. Six months later a second copy was sold – to the same person who purchased the first copy.
