Redwood Valley FFA sent a record 44 FFA members to the Minnesota FFA State Convention, April 24 to 26, held at the University of Minnesota campuses and State Fairgrounds. They joined the more than 4,700 FFA members, advisors and guests from throughout the state who gathered for the convention sessions, key note speakers, and competition.
Why was Addysen nominated for Cardinal of the Month? Addy is an all-around positive person and nice to everyone. She is a wonderful classmate and is always willing to work with anyone. She strives to do her best and asks questions if she needs help. She takes the steps necessary to be a successful student.
Why was Alex nominated for Cardinal of the Month? Alex is friendly and helpful TO ALL of his peers and the staff at RVMS. He consistently works hard in and out of the classroom. His friendly and hardworking demeanor contribute to the positive atmosphere at RVMS and we are proud to have him as an April Cardinal of the Month!! Keep up the great work bud!
Late into the evening as I clutched my pillow, the scene bore down for the second time. The list of “should haves” paraded before me. I should have taken in more water. I should have eaten healthier. I should have tended more tenderly to myself amidst the rush of the company. My body was telling me something, and as I paused, it came.
Skilled nursing care centers and their staff provide a steadfast commitment to providing a high-level of care for their residents. This has never been more evident than the last two years during the pandemic. In addition to protecting and caring for their residents around the clock, during a time of limited visitation and social distancing, staff stepped in and served as family members and friends to ensure that residents had the essential social connections they needed.
The Redwood Valley tennis team dropped a tough 4-3 battle with Worthington in recent Big South Conference action. The Cardinals took three of the four singles matches but dropped all three doubles matches tof all by a point.
It was another solid outing for the River Valley track and field teams as the girls finished first and the boys second at the St. James Quadrangular.
It was a dominating performance by the Redwood Valley baseball team Saturday, May 7 at Memorial Field as they cruised to a non-conference twinbill sweep of BOLD and Springfield. The Cardinal pitching staff was oustanding, allowing just four hits in two games while the offense was more than enough with 26 runs scored in the two games.
The Redwood Valley girls golf team continued their dominance of Big South competition with an easy win Monday, May 9 at the Windom Country Club. The Cardinals fired a 352 team total to outdistance second place Marshall (401) by 49 strokes.
The Wabasso baseball team split a Tomahawk Conference doubleheader with rival SESM Thursday, May 5 in Wabasso. The Rabbits took game one 5-2 and would fall 9-8 in eight innings in game two.
