Services are pending for Wallace “Wally” Stage, 84, of Redwood Falls. Wallace “Wally” Edwin Stage was born on July 11, 1937, on the family farm in Granite Rock Township, to Edwin and Alma (Lee) Stage.
I for one am heavily influenced by film. Lately, I have been gravitating towards film from around the early 90s. I think there is something to be said about films from previous decades. Specifically, the romance/rom-com genre. For me, it's everything from the writing, the set design, costume design, and the artistic decisions that were made.

Redwood Valley Indian Education students and staff held a 2022 RASD Wacipi Saturday, May 21. This was the Lower Sioux Indian Community's (LSIC) first district Wacipi. The afternoon called for all LSIC artists to present their work and donate one piece for the raffle. The drum group also played while the dancers performed. Ava Lund
Redwood Falls City Council met Tuesday, May 17 and approved Rubi’s Kitchen for a 3.2% on-sale malt liquor license and wine license. Owner Rubidia Kaufenberg applied for these licenses as Rubi's Kitchen in Redwood Falls is set to open in June. This new restaurant is located at 242 E. 2nd Street. Kaufenberg is authorized to sell strong beer in combination with her wine license. With no disqualifying history and approval from the Department of Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement Division, the license will be effective in June.
The Redwood Valley band concert was Monday, May 23, held in the Redwood Valley gymnasium. The concert was just over an hour long with 220 student musicians performing.
Redwood Falls Sportsman Club President Steve Whittet presented Shaun Matthews a 25 Straight patch for firing a perfect 25/25 round. Matthews placed 14th in Class 2A/4 of the Minnesota High School Clay Target League regular season. He was the Top Gun for the Redwood Valley Team. RV competitor Ava Dillion placed 13th for female shooters in the Class 2A Conference 4.
Dorothy Giffen Barber passed away peacefully May 16, 2022 at Kittson Memorial Healthcare Center. She was born in her grandparents farm home near Hampton, Iowa on December 21, 1933.
Michele Harazin, age 58 years young of Redwood Falls, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, May 20, 2022 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls with a livestream on St. Catherine’s Catholic Church YouTube page. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Church cemetery in Olivia at a later date.
