Why was Jedidiah nominated for Cardinal of the Month? Jed has been nominated for Cardinal of the Month by his teachers for his hard work and positive attitude. Jed is always trying his best and working hard during class. He takes his time and makes sure that he has the correct answer before moving onto the next problem/task. Jaxx split pair

The Wabasso Jaxx continued their trek through the amateur baseball season with a pair of games over the June 3rd weekend. On Friday, June 3rd the Jaxx dropped a close game to the Milroy Yankees 2-0.

Cardinals eliminated from Section play

One of the more successful seasons in recent memory came to an end on Thursday for the Redwood Valley baseball team as they fell 5-1 to ACGC in Section 3AA action. The Cardinals (17-7) opened up the postseason with back-to-back wins against Pipestone Area and Windom Area but suffered a tough 8-5 loss to top-seed and undefeated Paynesville Area (21-0) and then fell to ACGC to end their season.

Cardinals send group on to State Track Meet

Redwood Valley had a strong afternoon Thursday in Pipestone as they will send a large group of athletes on to the State Track Meet. The Cardinal boys finished third as a team and the girls second at the Section 3AA Meet - Luverne would capture both the boys and girls team titles - and a number of Cardinals will now move on to State June 9-11 at St.

Wildcats tracksters send group on to State

The River Valley Wildcats track and field teams will send a group on to State following Section 2A Track action held Saturday at Mankato West High School. The 4x800 girls relay team of Marissa Pabst, Lily McCone, Emmie McCone and Megan Sandgren ran a season best 10:11.42 for first place.

Dahms and Torkelson to hold town meetings

State Senator Gary Dahms (R-Redwood Falls) and State Representative Paul Torkelson )R-Hanska) invite area residents to attend their joint town meetings on Thursday, June 16 in Sleepy Eye, New Ulm, Springfield, Lamberton, and Redwood Falls."These meetings are an opportunity for constituents to receive an update on the recently concluded legislative session and ask questions," said Senator Dahms. Representative Torkelson said, "We look forward to visiting our constituents."

To the graduating class of 2022

Graduation is an exciting event for our seniors! This year, 67 students (+1 International Exchange Student) crossed the stage to receive their Redwood Valley High School Diplomas. The class of 2022 had a very different High School Experience than other classes. In 10th grade, this group had their worlds changed when March 2020 hit, closing schools across the state, nation, and world. New terms such as distance learning, Schoology, quarantine, COVID-19, and pandemic became a part of our daily conversations. That year ended without prom, sports, and a normal spring.
