Letter to the Editor

To the editor: Fellow taxpayers of RASD, we have a major decision to make in a few short days. Will we agree to allow two mega-corporations from the metro to come into our community, suck up our hardearned tax dollars, and then leave us with twenty years of principal and interest to pay off to the tune of $77 million? Yes, that is the number at the bottom of the amortization schedule supplied by the superintendent.

I didn’t find my identity, it found me

Perhaps you hear people talking about figuring out who they are and where they fit in this big busy world. I can understand that. There are many opportunities that open up to people, especially in this country, and it’s a big wide world. With all the opportunities before us and with all the problems that we could face, it can be hard to figure out where we fit in all of it. Who am I and what should I be doing with my life? These are questions that we want to answer to help us identify who we are and what we should be doing. For me, however, the answer didn’t come from within myself, it came from outside of me.
