October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence Awareness Month focuses on raising awareness of domestic violence in our local communities. WoMen’s Rural Advocacy Programs, Inc. (WRAP) is a nonprofit that serves victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking in Lincoln, Lyon, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine Counties in Minnesota. Cougars rally past Falcons

Rallying for 14 uanswered fourth quarter points the Cedar Mountain Cougars edged RRC 22-13 Friday night in nine-man football action. The Cougars (5-1) trailed 13-8 heading into the fourth quarter but would score twice in the final twelve minutes including the game-winning six-yard touchdown run from Christian Belcher with three minutes to play in the game.

Rabbit netters top Mustangs

Wabasso imroved to 5-2 overall in Tomahawk Conference play with a 3-1 win over BL/Hector-Stewart in a battle held Thursday in Buffalo Lake. The Rabbits (14-7) split the first two sets with the Mustangs, winning 25-19 and falling 25-12. They would close out the match however with two straight set wins, 25-13, 25-20, to close out the match.

Huskies roll to win over depleted Cards

Racing out to a 21-0 halftime lead the stateranked JCC Huskies rolled to a 35-0 win over the visiting Redwood Valley Cardinals Saturday afternoon in Jackson. The Cardinals were without starting quarterback Cam Enright who was nursing a thigh injury and the Huskie (5-0) were able to dominate in the trenches racking up 300 rushing yards (420 total yards).

Meyers records 1,000th career dig for Cougars

It was a big weekend for Cedar Mountain's Nadia Meyers as she recorded her 1,000th career dig at the Maple River Tournament. Meyers continues to rack up the accolades as she also went over 1,000 career set assists a season ago.
