“More than a babysitter”

The All Nations Rise Family Friend and Neighbor (FFN) program hosted a socialization event in collaboration with North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS) at the Lower Sioux Cultural Incubator on June 20.All Nations Rise, an Indigenous non-profit organization, houses a program called Indigenous FFN Child Care Network to provide outreach, training, educational and cultural resources and referrals to FFN childcare providers.FFN is a statewide program funded by the Minnesota Department of Human Services that focuses specifically on assisting Indigenous childcare providers.

Redbirds 11U squad captures Sartell Sabre Classic

With a 7-5 win over Pequot Lakes, the local Redwood Redbirds 11U baseball team recently captured the Sartell Sabre Classic and also earned a trip to the Gopher State Tournament held July 26-28 in Farmington.The Redbirds went 4-1 to claim the title, avenging an earlier 11-10 loss to Pequot Lakes to earn a spot in the upcoming Gopher State Tournament in the 11A Division.The team opened up pool play against South St.
