The Redwood Valley gymnasts recently went on the road and topped rival Pipestone Area 131.65-127.975.Senior Avery Wilson would again capture the All-Around with her score of 34.45 while Brynn Green was third with a 32.On vault, Chloe Walters (8.6) and Wilson (8.6) would tie for second, McKenna Flinn was sixth (8.5), Green added an 8.3 and Madison Ourada an 8.275.On bars the Cards would take five of the top six slots with Wilson recording a season best 9.05 to win.Flinn was second (7.95), Green third (7.925), Ellie Nelson fourth (7.85) aned Olivia Stoterau sixth (7.525).Flinn would finish third on beam (8.05), Nelson fourth (7.9), Wilson fifth (7.75), Green sixth (7.675) and Walters scored a 7.1.Finally on floor, Wilson was second (9.05), Walters fourth (8.4), Green fifth (8.1), Kharma Mathiowetz sixth (7.95) and Ourada added a 7.65.The Cards fell in JV team action 109.3-108.95.Mathiowetz was first on vault (8.6), Nelson and Stoterau second (8.1) and Victoria Johnson fifth (7.9).Mathiowetz was also second on bars (6.3) and Taylor Nelson fourth (5.5).Stoterau won easily on beam (7.5) with Ourada fifth (6.9) and Claire Stephens sixth (6.7).Taylor Nelson was second on floor (7.2), Johnson third (7.1), Ellie Nelson added a 6.8 and Julia Lang a 6.7.

The Redwood Valley girls basketball team continued to play well as they responded to three straight losses with three straight wins to improve to 10-6 on the season.The Cards picked up a nice 71-49 win over Pipestone Area in Big South Conference play.Kenzie Lundeen had a career night knocking down seven three’s on the way to 28 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.Kylee Larsen finished with 15 points and six boards and Kendall Huhnerkoch had 11 points and five rebounds.Cali Johnson added four points, four assists and three boards, Hailyn Ourada had three points, four rebounds and three assists, Morgan Kodet added three points and four boards, Addie Thomes had three points, Brynne Farasyn had two points, four rebounds and four assists and Melayna Nez had two points.The Cards then rolled again to a 78-44 win over TMB in non-conference play.Lundeen continued her hot shooting by knocking down five three’s on the way to a game-high 21 points, six boards, two assists and two steals.Johnson had 12 points, six assists, five steals and five rebounds and Huhnerkoch added 13 points, six rebounds, six steals and two blocked shots.Larsen had 12 points, six rebounds and two seteals and Kodet had nine points and two steals.Ourada added three points, six assists and three boards, Brinn Wicks had three points, two assists and two steals, Nez had three points and two rebounds and Lilyana Dixon had two points and one rebound.The Cards also topped South St.
